Program Description

Suse shows how, with the help of an experienced editor and designer, an un-developed idea is shaped into a publishable picture book. Three of her books, Shape by Shape, Alphabet Animals and Look Whoo’s Counting are examples of such productive collaboration. Suse describes the emergence of each book's theme and demonstrates her collage techniques, which were playfully embellished through computer graphics. Her audience will also go home with practical ideas for library story time.
